Transportation

Summer at Norwood provides safe and convenient round trip bus service to several locations throughout Bethesda, Potomac and Rockville. Bus stops have been established based on the transportation requests that we have received. The goal is to serve the most possible riders while ensuring safety and minimizing total ride time. The current stops and routes are indicated below. *Routes and stops are subject to change if a minimum registration is not met.

Bus Stops

Route 1 - Bethesda / North Bethesda

Stop 1A - Bradley Shopping Center - Bradley Blvd and Arlington Rd (Strosnider's Hardware Store)

AM Arrival: 7:55 am

PM Arrival: 3:35 pm

Stop 1B - Mid Pike Plaza - Old Georgetown Rd and Rockville Pike-355 (Toys-R-Us)

AM Arrival: 8:20 am

PM Return: 4:00 pm

Route 2 - North Potomac / Rockville

Stop 2A - Traville Gateway Shopping Center - Shady Grove Rd (Giant Food Store)

AM Arrival: 8:05 am

PM Return: 3:55 pm

Stop 2C - Cabin John Mall - Seven Locks Rd (CVS)

AM Arrival: 8:30 am

PM Return: 4:15 pm

Cost: $150 per session ($75 for Session 5 and each week of Upper 90 or Nationals Camp)

Drivers: Drivers are current Norwood School or Summer at Norwood employees or professional bus drivers.  All drivers will participate in an extensive training program.  Federal, state and driving background checks will be required of all drivers.

Vehicles: 14-passenger Norwood Activity Buses

Safety Belts: All buses are equipped with safety belts, and all passengers will be required to use them when riding the bus.

Confirmation: Requests will be filled in the order in which they are received.
